PSA: I started tracking every minute my crew spent on paperwork for 2 weeks and the number made me change how we do job handoffs
I run a 9 person HVAC shop in Boise and always figured paperwork was just part of the job, maybe 3 hours a week per tech. After logging it for 2 weeks in January, the real number was 11 hours per tech, and most of it was re-typing stuff that was already in a text thread. So we switched to a shared photo log for job notes and cut it to about 4 hours. Anyone else actually measure this stuff or did you just go by gut like I did?
