Just realized I spent 11 hours on a $40 fix because I didn't want to ask my CPA one question
Last month I noticed my quarterly sales tax filing was off by about $112 and I could not figure out why. I kept re-checking every invoice in my spreadsheet for three weekends straight, thinking I had a math error somewhere, and I even redid the whole thing from scratch. Turns out my state changed the threshold for collecting tax on certain services back in January and one email from my CPA would have told me that in 30 seconds. Now I put a 15 minute call with her on my calendar every quarter even if I think I don't need it. Anyone else got a business ops task that ate a whole weekend because you tried to solve it alone?
