Just realized how much I miss the old paper dispatch logs from my first year at the station.
Our new digital system crashed for 3 hours last Tuesday during a major call, forcing us back to scribbling on notepads and yelling across the bay, which honestly felt more reliable in the moment, you know?

Forget the romance, digital logs save lives when seconds count. Paper fails quietly every single day.

Totally get that feeling, but man, those old paper logs could be a nightmare too. I remember trying to read someone's rushed handwriting after a long shift and just guessing at half the details. At least with a digital crash, you know the info is just stuck in the system, not lost on a coffee-stained sheet that got thrown out. The yelling across the bay part, though, that's a vibe you can't beat.
