That $300 grocery receipt from Costco actually saved me money

I used to think buying in bulk was a trap for people with big families. But last month I tracked my spending and realized I was hitting the corner store almost daily for snacks and basics, adding up to about $180 a month. My sister convinced me to try one big Costco run for shelf-stable stuff like rice, pasta, and canned beans. That lone receipt covered what would have been five separate trips, and my weekly food budget dropped by a good $40. Has anyone else found that one giant purchase beats the constant small ones, or am I just getting lucky with my list?
