Spent $18 on a meal prep scale, saved way more in a month

I used to eyeball portions and always ended up cooking too much, then tossing food. Bought a cheap kitchen scale off Amazon for $18 and started weighing out rice, chicken, veggies, all that. Turns out I was making about 30% extra every single meal. Last month my grocery bill dropped from around $520 to $430 and nothing went bad in the fridge. Anyone else find that measuring stuff helps the wallet more than the waistline?
