I spent a whole weekend figuring out how to make my own laundry detergent, but it only took 20 minutes once I had the right recipe.

Has anyone else found a simple recipe that actually works well and saves money?

Yeah, that "right recipe" part is key.

But what if there isn't one perfect recipe? I've seen things work out well with totally different methods, like a hands-off approach versus super detailed planning. It seems like the person using the method matters more than the method itself.
