DAE realize that setting a hobby budget sparks more ideas?

I gave myself a $20 monthly cap for model train parts. It forced me to repair old pieces, and now my layout is way more unique.

Is having a zero dollar budget the same thing? My "fix" was just duct tape.

Heard some folks say duct tape fixes are the original zero dollar budget move. Kinda genius if it holds up.
