Went back to Sonic Adventure 2 after 15 years and the camera fights me on every jump now
I popped in my old GameCube copy for a nostalgia run at my buddy's place in Toledo and the camera just swings around wild on the rail levels, which I swear was not a problem when I was 12, so is this a case of rose tinted glasses or did the later ports genuinely make the camera worse?
Ugh, it's not just you. I replayed the GameCube version last year and the camera on those rail sections in Metal Harbor and Final Rush totally fights you. Pretty sure the later ports (looking at you, Steam) messed with the camera speed and auto follow settings, so it swings harder than the original did. The Dreamcast one was smoother but honestly the GameCube one was never great, we were just more patient as kids.
