Vent: I just hit 500 bricks laid in a single day on a foundation job
I've been doing this for 12 years and my usual pace is a solid 350 to 400. This was a straight run, simple pattern, and everything just clicked. I think using that new laser level from Johnson saved me a ton of time checking lines. It felt like the mix was perfect and my hod carrier was on point all day. I'm not saying it's a normal thing, but it sure felt good to see that number. Has anyone else had a day where everything just flowed and you blew past your own personal best?

That Johnson laser level is a game changer, isn't it? When you have a good mix and a sharp hod carrier, it's like the whole job just gets easier. What was the hardest part of keeping that pace up for the whole day, like did your rhythm change after lunch?

Game changer" is a stretch for a laser level. It's just another tool that needs constant checking. The hardest part isn't rhythm, it's fighting the boredom of repetitive work after the first few hours. Good gear doesn't make a hard job easy, it just makes it tolerable.
