PSA: My $340 mortar mixer paddle was junk after 11 batches

Bought a fancy paddle for my drill last spring from a supply house in Dayton. Ran maybe 11 or 12 batches of type S through it and the shaft started wobbling so bad it wouldn't spin true anymore. The welds on the blade cracked around batch 8 and I figured it was fine. Then the whole head snapped off mid mix and slung mortar across the wall I just laid. Lost about 3 hours cleaning that mess, plus the $340 on the paddle. Turns out a $60 spiral paddle from the same store holds up way better for small jobs. Anyone got a paddle that actually survives more than a dozen batches, or am I expecting too much from a drill mixer?
