Unpopular take: my monstera looked worse after I switched to filtered water for 4 months
Everyone in my plant group swore I was killing my monstera with tap water, so I switched to filtered and the new leaves came in smaller with brown tips after 4 months in my Chicago apartment. I finally checked my city's water report and the tap is only 40 ppm hardness, which is basically nothing, so I think the whole filtered water thing is overblown. Anyone else tested their tap before buying into the filtered water advice?
