Shoutout to the $12 moisture meter that stopped me from killing my 4 year old jade plant
I kept drowning my succulents because I trusted the finger test and now that little probe tells me when the soil is actually dry down deep. Anyone else here think most houseplant deaths come from guessing instead of checking?
Could some of those deaths just be bad light or root rot already set in before you ever watered? I've used meters and they can read dry while the plant is still sitting in wet soil, so I'm not sold on the probe being the fix.
