Said you can't weld tube sheet stubs without a rotator, proved me wrong at the shop in Tulsa
I figured a positioner was just a gimmick for big outfits, so I kept hand-rolling 2 inch stubs on a boiler re-tube job. Dale, our old lead hand at the shop in Tulsa, kept bugging me to try the shop's rotator for a month. Finally tried it on a 40 stub bank and cut my arc time nearly in half. Now I'm wondering what other tools I've been brushing off for no good reason, what's one you held out on too long?
