Picked up an old Vulcan torch at a pawn shop in Gary and it taught me something about patience

I was killing time between jobs last month and found this beat up Vulcan torch from the 70s for 20 bucks. The guy running the place said it had been sitting there for years and probably didn't work. I figured for that price it was worth a gamble. When I got it home I spent a whole Saturday cleaning the tip and replacing the o-rings. Fired it up expecting maybe a weak flame but that thing roared to life hotter than my brand name torch. I learned that sometimes the old gear just needs a little care instead of being thrown away. It made me wonder how many other tools are out there getting overlooked because people don't take the time to fix them up. Has anyone else had luck bringing back old equipment from a junk shop?
