Overheard a PM say inspection deadlines are 'flexible' on our new tank job
Was waiting for a lift at the Millwrights' trailer on the Henderson site and caught the project manager telling the client rep that the Friday hydrotest deadline was more of a 'soft target'. I've seen what happens when those dates slip on big vessels, schedule gets crushed and then everyone rushes the welds. Asking the crew now if they've had PMs pull that on them before, and what they did to protect the repair records without getting blackballed from the next bid.
