PSA: Check your bounce house stakes before the party, not during
We had our block party on Saturday and rented a bounce house for the kids, and about 20 minutes in a gust of wind flipped the whole thing while 6 kids were inside. Turns out the guy who set it up only pounded in 2 of the 8 stakes because he was running late to another job. Nobody got hurt bad, just some scared kids and one bloody nose, but I felt sick watching it happen. Now I'm the guy walking around checking stakes with a sledgehammer before anyone gets in. Does anyone else do a safety walk-through before their party starts, and what do you check first?
