TIL the Cheesecake Factory in Austin has a table 12 that I will never sit at again
Went on a blind date there last Friday and got seated at table 12, right next to the kitchen door. My date ordered a $29 plate of pasta and talked about her ex for 40 minutes straight. I counted 3 times she checked her phone under the table and one time she asked the waiter if the bread was gluten free, then ate it anyway. If you're setting up a blind date in Austin, do not pick this spot, the noise alone kills any chance of a real talk. What are the rules here, is it weird to suggest a coffee place over dinner for a first meet?
