Pro tip: measure twice but also step back twice before you hang anything
Last Tuesday I was dead set on putting a 3 foot tall abstract print above my couch in Austin, even ordered it online and everything. When it arrived I just propped it against the wall to see how it looked and realized it completely swallowed the whole space, like the wall was wearing a bib. I ended up swapping it for a smaller 18 inch piece and added a shelf with a couple of plants at 1101 Lavaca to balance it out. Has anyone else bought something huge online and only realized the scale was wrong once it was in the room?
