Picked a $12 poster frame over hanging the old mirror in my hallway, and now the wall finally looks right
For 8 months the wall at the end of my hallway in Columbus was totally empty except for two nail holes from the last tenant. I kept going back and forth between hanging a heavy old mirror my mom gave me or doing something light and easy with a framed print I liked. The mirror scared me because it weighs about 20 pounds and my walls are old plaster, so I went with the print. I grabbed a simple black frame for $12 at the hardware store down the street and hung it with two small nails in about 15 minutes. It sits a little higher than I pictured but honestly the hallway feels way less dead now and I keep glancing at it when I walk to the kitchen. Has anyone hung a print and then wished they had gone with art that had glass over it?
