Just realized my sister was right about the 9 photo grid after I hung 14 frames in a hallway
My hallway wall sat empty for about 8 months because I kept buying frames at thrift stores with no plan. My sister came over in March and said it looked like a yard sale threw up on my wall, which stung but she was not wrong. She showed me the 9 photo grid thing on her phone, where you tape out squares with painter's tape first and keep everything the same distance apart. I pulled down all 14 frames, patched 22 nail holes, and redid it as a simple grid of 9 with 3 inches between each one. The wall is 11 feet long so I centered the grid and it finally looks like a person did it on purpose. Taping it out first was the whole trick, I moved squares around for an hour before touching a nail. Anyone else do the tape thing or do you just wing it and hope for the best?
