DAE figure out hanging stuff by eye after a gallery visit in Chicago?
I was at a small gallery show on Halsted Street a couple months ago and noticed every piece was hung with the center at about 57 inches, which is apparently the museum standard. I went home and rehung three frames in my hallway at that height and my bare wall finally looks planned instead of random. Anyone else try the 57 inch thing, or do you just eyeball it?
