The Dark remake debate got me to finally watch it
Me and my buddy Dave argued for like 20 minutes over whether the German version was better than the English dub, and he kept going on about how the original voices carry way more emotion. I watched the first episode in German with subtitles on Friday night and honestly it hit way different, the pacing felt tighter too. Anybody else have a show that only clicked for them after trying it in its original language?

Curious how far you got into the German version before it clicked for you? I tried the same thing with Dark and the first episode felt slow to me, but by the second one the voices and the whole mood kind of locked in. My sister swears the dub ruins the kid actors especially, since their line reads come off flat while the original kids sound nervous and real. Worth sticking with it past the first ep if you almost bailed like I did.
