Overheard at a coffee shop: someone called The Bear "too stressful" to binge
I was grabbing a latte last Saturday and two people were arguing about The Bear. One said they couldn't watch more than one episode because the yelling and kitchen chaos gave them anxiety. I get it, the show is intense, but that's exactly why I binged all 3 seasons in a week. The fast pace and stress kinda pulled me in rather than pushed me away. Has anyone else had that experience where a show's chaos actually makes it more watchable?

The first time I tried watching The Bear I shut it off after 15 minutes. Honestly thought it was just noise and yelling for no reason. But my friend kept pushing me to give it another shot so I started season 1 again during a rough week at work. Something clicked the second time and I ended up watching 4 episodes straight. The chaos actually helped me zone out from my own stress because I was so focused on theirs. Still can't do the Christmas episode though that one actually broke me.
