Tried a cargo bike for a week, now my car feels pointless
Swapped my usual commute for a borrowed cargo bike around Portland for 7 days, hauling groceries and my kid to school. The bike lane on SE 12th was a mess with parked cars blocking it half the time, but I still got to work faster than driving through the 5 PM backup. What I learned is that a $200 trailer could do the same job without dropping $1,500 on a new ride. Has anyone else tested this setup and gone back to their car for certain trips?
