Can we talk about how I hated the flex posts on 8th Ave until I rode it at rush hour?

I thought those bendy white posts were just cheap junk slowing everyone down, but after getting doored on a street with a painted line last Tuesday, I crossed 14 blocks on the protected lane and didn't get squeezed once, so who else flipped on these things after one bad close call?
