Warning: I thought the Park Tool BBT-69 bottom bracket tool was just overpriced hype
I've been using a cheap universal socket for years in my shop in Boise, but it kept slipping on Shimano Hollowtech II cups. After rounding a third one last month, I bought the BBT-69 and the fit is perfect, no more damage. Has anyone else found a specific tool that finally made you stop fighting a cheap alternative?

Watched my buddy nearly lose his mind trying to get a crank off with a worn-out multi-tool last spring. He was cussing up a storm in his garage for a solid hour. Finally went and got the proper Park tool for his bottom bracket and it slid on like butter, first try. Sometimes the right tool just ends the fight before it even starts.

What kind of crank was he working on that a multi-tool even seemed like an option? I've seen people try to force the wrong socket on a square taper and just round everything out. It's a lesson you usually only need to learn once.
