Tried a 45-degree angle on a stubborn cowlick in a military cut yesterday

The hair laid down perfectly for the first time, which never happens with my usual method. Anyone have a go-to technique for those impossible crown swirls?

Honestly, it's just hair. You're overthinking a cowlick. It's a military cut, not a runway show. If it lays down for the day, call it a win and move on. Spending that much mental energy on a swirl seems like a lot.
