The day I trimmed a guy's eyebrows and he tipped me $60

This Tuesday in Phoenix I had a walk-in ask for just an eyebrow shape-up, which is already a weird request for a barber shop, but I figured why not. I spent like 10 minutes on them with my straight razor and trimmers, and when he saw the result he literally pulled out a wad of cash and handed me sixty bucks. My usual haircut runs $35 and tips are maybe $8 on a good day, so I nearly choked on my coffee. He said he was a model doing headshots that weekend and my work would save him from a makeup artist. Has anyone else ever gotten a weirdly huge tip for a tiny service like this, or am I just lucky? I still don't know if I should charge more for eyebrow work now or keep it at the $15 add-on.

Take that win and run with it, seriously. It sounds like you nailed exactly what he needed and that kind of confidence boost is worth more than the money. Maybe keep the price for now, but you've got every right to raise it if people keep asking.
