Hit my 1,000th loaf of sourdough yesterday and still can't believe it

I never counted at first but my wife started keeping a tally in a notebook about 4 years ago. 1,000 loaves. Some were bricks, some were perfect. The 1,000th one came out with a nice ear and decent crumb. What milestone caught you off guard in this trade?

My buddy hit loaf 500 last month and his dog ate the whole thing off the counter in ten seconds flat lol

Heard someone say dogs can sniff out sourdough from like a mile away. @cameron_palmer that's rough but honestly that's on your buddy for leaving it out lol.
