Showerthought: the avionics bay at the Tulsa air museum had a rack of 1960s radios still wired in, and I stood there 20 minutes
Every connector in that rack was labeled on masking tape in pencil, and it hit me that some A&P in 1964 wrote those tags knowing he'd never see the plane fly again, so what's the oldest piece of wiring you've found still doing its job in a panel?

Did that masking tape actually make you stop and think about the guy who wrote it? I've seen tags in old panels that outlasted the man who wrote them, and yeah, it hits different. What's the wildest old wiring you've come across that was still holding up?
