DAE used to hammer wheel bearings in with a socket until one shop visit in Toledo

I was pressing bearings with a big socket and a dead blow for ages, then a guy at a shop in Toledo showed me his $80 HF press and how fast it seated a front hub. My last set took 4 hours and a lot of cussing, his took 20 minutes. Anyone else switch to a press and never look back, or do you still get away with the socket trick?
