The great 'bondo or weld' debate on a 2007 Civic quarter panel
So this guy brings in his Civic with a fist-sized dent right on the wheel arch line. I'm looking at it, and my brain is screaming 'cut and weld a new piece.' But the owner is on a super tight budget and just wants it filled. I spent about two hours shaping and sanding a huge mound of filler over the crease. It looked smooth... until the next day when the sun hit it just right and you could see the whole repair line shimmer like a ghost. Should have stuck to my gut. Anyone ever talk a customer into the right repair when they really just want the cheap fix?

That ghost line is the worst. How do you even start that talk about the right repair when you know they're counting every penny?
