Tripod leg gave out on a windy ridge at 2AM in Death Valley
My $80 photo tripod buckled during a 30-second exposure of the Milky Way, sent my camera sliding down the gravel before I could grab it, so now I keep a sandbag on the center hook and check every lock before I press the shutter, anyone else had a cheap tripod fail at the worst possible moment?
