Stuck in a paint muddle with my acrylic pour art

I've been working on acrylic pour paintings for a while now. Each time I try, the colors mix into a ugly brown mess. I've asked for tips online, but people give mixed up advice. One person told me to use silicone oil, another said to avoid it. I've wasted so much paint and canvas on failed attempts. My workspace is a chaos of dried paint and frustration. I just want to create something beautiful, but it's not happening. Can anyone share what actually works for them?

Ugh, I feel you on the brown mess! Honestly, skipping the silicone and just using a good pouring medium changed everything for me.

Silicone's messy but totally worth it for those crazy cells. A good medium alone never creates the same effect.

Stick with the medium you trust, your results will speak for themselves. I tried the silicone route once and regretted it for days, too much mess and unpredictable outcomes. A quality pouring medium gives you control over the flow and helps prevent that muddy brown look everyone dreads. Keep experimenting with ratios to get the cells you want without the headache.
