My buddy's 12 year old daughter grilled me on why I still use plastic bags for groceries

I was packing up after a cookout at his place in Denver last Saturday, shoving leftovers into ziplocs, and she just looked at me and asked why I wasn't using the beeswax wraps her dad has. She laid out the whole deal about how many bags I go through in a year and did the math right there on her phone. It hit different coming from a kid, not some adult preaching at me. I laughed it off at first but now I'm actually sitting here ordering a starter kit on Etsy. Has anyone else had a younger person call them out on something you thought was totally fine?

My 8 year old nephew called me out for still using a paper map at a rest stop last month. It's wild how kids haven't learned to just let things slide yet, they see stuff adults don't even notice anymore. Makes me wonder what other dumb little things I do every day without thinking.

Kids just see through the habits we stopped questioning.
