Can we talk about how I used to call 5 stores for a price and now I just check one site on my phone
I swear I used to burn whole Saturdays driving to Ace, then Lowes, then the smaller place off Route 9 just to price one stupid thing like a hose reel. Now I pull up one site in the parking lot, see the price, and walk in knowing exactly what I'm paying, which somehow makes me feel like I'm cheating the system even though I'm not. Does anyone else feel weird about how fast this got, or is it just me?

That speed is the part that gets me. A price check used to take a whole afternoon and now it takes 11 seconds in a parking lot. What is weird is that the stores know we can do it, so prices got closer to each other. That old trick of hitting three places to find the one that was cheaper just does not work the same way anymore.
