Shoutout to the museum volunteer in Tucson who spotted my ID error on a 900 year old pot sherd
I was logging a batch of Hohokam sherds from a site near the Santa Cruz and had already cataloged 63 of them when a volunteer named Ruth asked me to double check one rim piece. Turns out I had flipped the orientation and misread it as a bowl when it was actually a jar, which messed up my whole typology count. I redid the entry and went back through the other 62 just to be safe, and she was right on two more. How do you all handle re-checking a batch once one mistake pops up, start over or just spot check the rest?
