Took me 6 hours to figure out my saw was cutting crooked because of one loose bolt
Last Tuesday I was bucking up a big red oak in Fairmount Park and my 372XP kept drifting left on every cut, no matter how hard I pushed. I checked the chain, swapped the bar, even dumped the tank and refilled, and all of that ate up maybe 4 hours. Turned out the two bolts holding the bar were loose by like a quarter turn, and once I snugged them down it cut straight as a string. I felt pretty dumb standing there in the chips after 6 hours of guessing. Anyone else ever chase a cutting problem that turned out to be something embarrassingly simple?
