Realized I was planting trees upside down after 6 years in the trade
Last week in Portland I pulled a sapling out of a nursery pot and saw roots growing out of the top, thought it was some weird cultivar until my foreman laughed and said the root flare goes DOWN. Has anyone else had a brain fart that lasted way too long in this job?

Wait, roots growing up means the tree was in the pot root-bound, not upside down, right?
