Picked a used Maytag washer over a new Samsung last month

Had to choose between a $250 used Maytag from 2012 or a $600 new Samsung with all the bells and whistles. I went with the Maytag because parts are everywhere and I can fix it myself. So far it runs like a tank, no complaints. Anybody else go with older models over new ones?

Did you look up how long those new Samsung models actually last?

Honestly, did you look up those battery degradation tests? I used to just assume all new Samsung phones were the same, but seeing how some models hold up over a couple years actually changed my mind.
