Hit 500 dryer vent cleanings this month and the math scared me
I passed 500 total vent cleanings this month and found 41 with lint packed so tight it could've started a fire. How many of you actually measure airflow before and after, or are we all just trusting the brush length?

41 out of 500 is like 8 percent, which sounds bad but honestly most houses just have some dust in the vents. The real question is how many of those 41 were actually at risk or just looked scary. A lot of times the lint looks packed but it's still got airflow, you know? Unless you're measuring CFM before and after, it's kind of just guessing based on what's in the brush. Maybe check that filter on the dryer too, that's usually where the actual fire risk lives.
