I used to empty my little compost bucket every 2 days because it reeked of rotting food, especially in July when my apartment hit 85 degrees. Then I started wrapping each day's scraps in a sheet of newspaper before tossing them in, and now it barely smells even after 5 days. Anyone else found a cheap trick like this that made a big difference for their apartment setup?
