Unpopular opinion: a tape measure in my pocket beats the store's price sticker every time
Last month I passed on a marked $45 oak side table at a flea market in Lawrence because it looked too small, then came back an hour later with my tape and it was actually 2 inches wider than the spot I needed it for, so I talked the guy down to $28. Now I measure first and ask questions later. Anybody else carry a tape to every sale, or do you just eyeball it?
