Picked up a 1940s Pyrex bowl set at a garage sale for $8, turns out it was worth way more
I found this set of four nesting Pyrex bowls at a garage sale outside Portland last weekend. The lady selling them just wanted them gone, so I got the whole stack for $8. Looked them up online and apparently the "Cinderella" pattern in turquoise is pretty collectible, one bowl alone sells for like $40. Has anyone else had luck with old Pyrex at thrift stores or is it usually priced too high now?

My aunt had that exact set and used them as dog bowls for years. Found out later they were worth a couple hundred bucks. She still thinks it's hilarious.
