Tried watching one episode of a new show a night instead of binging, and my take on it flipped
For years I binged everything, usually 6 to 8 episodes in one sitting on a Saturday. Last week I made a rule of just one episode per night of this one show, and around episode 5 I noticed I was actually thinking about the side characters between nights. With binging I forget half of what happened by the finale, but spacing it out made small moments stick with me way more. I also caught stuff I know I would have missed, like a background detail in episode 3 that pays off later. The downside is slower progress, and I almost gave up on episode 2 because it felt boring without the momentum of the next one queued up. Has anyone else tried a pace limit and found it changed how they rated a show?
