Dropped $160 on a used anime box set at a flea market in Riverside and one disc was a coaster
I found a full 26 episode box set at a flea market in Riverside for $160, way under what it goes for online, and the seller swore every disc was fine. Got it home, started the rewatch that night, and disc 4 skipped so bad it froze on the same frame three times. Checked the back and there was a deep scratch, plus a weird cloudy ring on disc 4 that I missed under the tent lighting. I emailed the distributor about a replacement disc and they said that print run is out of production, so now I am hunting single discs on eBay. Has anyone had luck fixing a scratch like that with one of those skip doctor things, or am I just out $160?
