Spent 6 hours on a keypad that kept beeping, turned out to be one dumb thing
Client called me back to a house in Mesa three times this week. Keypad kept chirping every 30 seconds with no code on the screen. I ripped out the panel, tested every zone, swapped the backup battery, even ran new 22/4 to the keypad. Turned out a cheap door sensor on the garage had a magnet gap that was just loose enough to trigger a trouble beep. Six hours for a 2 minute fix. Any of you carry a magnet tester in your bag for this exact mess?
