Hardwired vs. wireless in an old brick building, I chose hardwired anyway
Did a retrofit at a 1920s brick schoolhouse in Cincinnati last month. Everyone told me wireless would save me 3 days of labor and a headache. I stuck with hardwired because the walls are 18 inches thick in places and I knew RF would be spotty. Got the job done in 6 days instead of the estimated 4, but zero false alarms since. Anyone else still pushing for hardwire on old masonry even when the bid gets tight?
