A customer's offhand remark about panel placement still bugs me
Installed a panel in a basement last month and the homeowner watched the whole time, then said 'you always put these where the wifi can't reach, right?' and I realized I never check for signal dead zones near metal ductwork. Anyone else factor in interference when picking panel spots or is that just me?

Yeah, that customer had a point. Metal ducts and foil-backed insulation will eat a 5GHz signal like a snack. I moved a router to the far side of a furnace once and the whole house speed doubled. Worth scoping out the joists and duct runs before you drill that bracket.
