My electrician brother in law said his new tester guesses the breaker now, and that got me thinking about AI
Honestly I was at his place in Boise two weeks ago and he pulls out this little gadget that reads a wire and tells him which breaker it's on. He used to flip half the panel to find one circuit. Now it takes him about 10 seconds. He says the thing basically learned from all the other houses he's done. That hit me walking to my truck, because it's not some chatbot thing, it's a tool that got good by seeing tons of real jobs. Same deal with the raccoon job I just finished, my trail cam flagged the mom and kits on its own instead of me scrubbing 6 hours of video. Ngl it makes me wonder what else is quietly learning in the background while we just think it's a normal tool. Has anyone else noticed a plain work gadget that got weirdly smart on you lately?
Feels like every tool is slowly turning into a little expert in the background. My fence charger started flagging when a wire grounds out on wet grass, and I never taught it squat. Gear is picking up the kind of know how we used to carry in our heads.
